I hosted a baby shower this past weekend for a dear friend, and it was such a special day.
I’m not going to say it gave me baby fever per se, but it did remind me of how much fun it is to shop for babies.
I decided to follow that inspiration and put together some gift ideas for babies. These gifts are more “fun” than, say, gifts from a baby registry which–out of necessity–tend to be more practical. So, no burp cloths or glass bottles here.
I’ll try to get out the rest of my gift guides ASAP, btw. My friends were hounding me this weekend about it and said I was moving too slow, lol. (In case you missed last week’s, check out my gift ideas for men here).
But for now, here is a list of gift ideas for babies, whether it’s your own, a grandbaby, or a friend’s new addition that you want to spoil this Christmas.
I don’t make the rules–there is nothing cuter than a baby in a beanie. I’m swooning over the matching gloves.
I always get our girls’ socks at H&M. They have so many cute ones. And trust me, the baby in your life only has 3 sets of socks that actually match.
We love a multifunctional gift. This walker doubles as an activity center, and that is a gift I can get behind.
These are SO cute and would make adorable nursery decor too.
These are the best sleep sacks. They are so soft and held up through YEARS of regular washing in my house. They make wonderful hand-me-downs too.
Emmie has one of these in the “little” size and sleeps with it every night.
This is a Jellycat household, and although I told myself that we are at our absolute limit of stuffed animals, I might have to make an exception for this moose.
Can’t go wrong with these neutral henley onesies.
I love this brand–they are based in San Diego and make the cutest leather moccasins (for a fraction of the cost of Freshly Picked!).
Another “can’t go wrong” moment from H&M. I love all of these colors.
Adorable little teether/press toy.
Emmie loved these when she was a baby, and they look cute out on a shelf too.
You know how baby socks just seem to slip and slide all over the place? These footies are the BEST, absolutely foolproof.
Another one of Emmie’s favorites. We’d set her on a blanket with this stack of cups, and she’d be happy for a solid 30 which is really saying something, I think.
There was a time earlier this year where I couldn’t read this without crying, but Emmie would pick it out for every pre-nap storytime. It was almost like she was pranking me (in fact, I’m sure she was). This is the sweetest book.
Another great gift because you don’t have to pick anything up after!!
My girls loved this one. It was one of the first books that Charlotte “memorized” and she’d say it along with us as we read. So sweet.
The best jammies. This would make a wonderful gift for a new mom who is stressed about how many zipper footies her baby is going through in a week.
We got Emmie a ball pit for her first birthday, and she LOVED it.
Cute for a little boy!!! (Trying to include more boy gifts, sorry!).
The softest blankets. My mother-in-law has one of these at her house for us to use when we are there, and I’m always tempted to “accidentally” throw it in my suitcase to bring home with us.
Tubby Todd bath goodies: This the only brand we use on Char and Emmie’s sensitive skin. Even our dermatologist gave me a pat on the back for doing so! We use the All Over Ointment as body lotion, bathe them in the lavender body wash every night, and LOVE the chest rub for when they are sick. They also have really cute bath bombs that would be such a fun stocking stuffer. (Use my link for 10% off!).
Thanks for checking out my list of gift ideas for babies! I’ll be back soon with a few more guides, I promise!
It’s a pre-weekend pick me up: just a little note with links to the latest blog posts, what I’m reading lately, and products I’m obsessed with. Think of it as a friend dropping off a surprise latte in the morning--you know?
