Today I’m sharing a breakdown of our French Riviera and Lake Como itinerary.
This was our first international trip with our daughter, we took this trip when Charlotte was 10 months old. She was at the BEST age for traveling, and this turned out to be the perfect itinerary and trip. We wanted to keep our itinerary really simple and intentionally chose locations that were more relaxed. It was our first trip traveling with a baby, so we didn’t want anything too complicated.
As a matter of fact, whether you are traveling with a baby or not, I highly recommend this French Riviera and Lake Como itinerary. It was easy to get from one location to another, and, best of all, easy to fly in and out. More on that in a minute.
In this post, I’ll walk through our exact French Riviera and Lake Como itinerary. I’ll link all of the blog posts and travel guides that I wrote about this trip in this post too. I’m also going to share our vlog that we made in the French Riviera and Lake Como. This is a mostly boring but kind of cute collection of clips from this amazing trip.

ToggleWe spent five days in the South of France and stayed in the charming town of Antibes. Antibes was a perfect base for this trip because it was only 20 minutes from the airport in Nice which is where we flew into. Antibes is SUCH charming town. Don’t be surprised if I move back there later in life (kind of not kidding).
During our five days in Antibes, we explored Nice, Villefranche-Sur-Mer, and Cap-Ferrat. We spent every morning strolling Antibes’ Old Town, eating fresh food, and watching Char discover baguettes (this became the theme of the trip).
Then, we drove up to Lake Como in Italy–this drive took about 5 hours. We stayed in a gorgeous old castle in a tiny town called Torno. We spent each day ferrying around the lake, drinking bellinis, and eating pizza from the same spot every single night on our patio. We flew home out of Milan which was less than an hour’s drive away–also very easy.
We loved this French Riviera and Lake Como itinerary because it was easy to execute and gave us a great mix of French and Italian culture and cuisine. The vibes were, as they say, immaculate.
I’m going to link all of the blog posts from this trip because I go way more in-depth on each area. Also linking my master list of tips for traveling with a baby.
