I absolutely love Valentine’s Day.
I know, I know. We shouldn’t need a designated day to celebrate love, but I guess I just feel like, “why not?” lol. I love the hearts, the flowers, the treats, the date nights. It’s just fun, a little pick-me-up after a January slump, you know what I mean?
We’ve sort of settled into a little Valentine’s Day tradition over here. We usually keep the day low key with the girls. I’ll do a craft (maybe this one this year?!) and a baking project (100% needs to be these) with them. And then in the evening, we make homemade heart pizzas together.
Tyler and I usually go out for a date the following weekend. I think this year we are going to Cesarina for the first time, and I am so excited!

ToggleIn today’s post, I’m sharing a tiny roundup of crafts, decor, and gift ideas.
As I was making this, I wondered to myself if people still do Valentine’s gifts? I will put together a little something for the girls, but Tyler and I are skipping gifts this year. I am not usually a “skipping gifts” type of girl, but we just bought a sauna for the backyard (!!!) and decided that would more than suffice as a Valentine’s gift this year. I’ll share a few gift ideas for men and women here anyway. This isn’t anything groundbreaking but rather just a few of my favorite things in case anyone is drawing a blank.
It’s a pre-weekend pick me up: just a little note with links to the latest blog posts, what I’m reading lately, and products I’m obsessed with. Think of it as a friend dropping off a surprise latte in the morning--you know?
