We are back today with another niche fashion obsession of mine. I’m sharing my Sézane Will Jacket review.
You can’t get any more classic and timeless than Sézane’s Will Jacket. This jacket is a pillar of the French brand’s Top 30 French Heroes collection and a silhouette they bring back again and again each season with fresh colors and materials.
I recently decided to finally check out this jacket because I was looking for another lightweight second layer option outside of my trusty denim jacket. And don’t get me wrong: the denim jacket isn’t going anywhere. I just wanted another option for these erratic San Diego fall days.
**If you’re shopping for the holidays, Sézane just launched their dreamy Parisian Gift Shop landing page. Swoon!!
In this Sézane Will jacket review, I am going to walk through all of the design details and specs for this iconic jacket and my thoughts after having worn it for a few weeks now. I will, as always, share a handful of outfit ideas at the end.
I was not surprised by how much I immediately loved this jacket.
This is a piece that goes with everything and is the perfect weight for fluctuating temperatures. Much like a standard denim jacket, this is the type of second layer that I can grab running out the door without worrying if it matches my outfit.
The Sézane Will jacket is the epitome of effortlessly chic, and I LOVE how practical it is. It is exceedingly comfortable and layerable. I can wear it with my jeans-and-white-tee uniform or over a skirt or dress.
I feel like every girl needs a practical, no-nonsense jacket that you can, if necessary, run a mile, stay out all night, or go solve an FBI investigation in. Do you know what I mean? The Will jacket is just that.
Most of Sézane’s staples are extremely well made and thoughtfully designed, and the Will jacket is no exception. It has an oversized, almost menswear-ish shape and looks both tailored and relaxed at the same time.
The jacket features a sturdy collar and a double lined row of tortoise buttons. My favorite thing about this jacket, hands down, is the massive pockets. These pockets are seriously unreal, and I could probably go without a purse completely when I wear it.
The Sézane Will jacket I have is made of 100% organic cotton in Portugal. The color I have is called Khaki, but it’s a true army green.
Most of the colorways that they carry year round (Ecru, Washed Black, and a few different blue denim shades) are this same sturdy cotton. It feels like a super soft but structured denim.
Sézane does release limited edition versions of the jacket in various colors and materials. The suede version is one of their bestsellers and flies off the shelves whenever they release it. I love the camel suede version SO much.
They also have a few really dreamy plaid versions this year, and they usually release a warmer wool version at some point too.
Sézane’s Will jacket costs $145.
Sézane offers free shipping on orders over $200, so it’s a good excuse to try a couple styles or sizes, lol. Returns are free and very easy.
I always like to remind people that Sézane’s prices are much more palatable in the stores in Europe, so if you’re planning a trip this year, make sure to leave some time to shop!
This jacket runs oversized, but that’s kind of the point. I took a Medium in it and wouldn’t have wanted to go smaller. I have plenty of room for layering with sweaters.
You can see in the photos that it hits well below my hips. And the sleeve length is divine! I have been cuffing the jacket in our “transitional” weather we’ve had in San Diego so far but will definitely wear them full length when it gets colder.
I can’t say enough good things about this jacket. The silhouette is, in my opinion, timeless. It’s practical, chic, and comfortable, and I can confidently say this will be on a regular rotation for years to come.
As you’ll see below, styling the Will jacket is pretty straightforward! It’s very casual and looks good with everything.
Thank you for checking out my Sézane Will jacket review! I hope it’s helpful. Please let me know if you end up getting the jacket and what you think of it!
Looking for more Sézane reviews? I have also reviewed the Betty cardigan, the Gaspard cardigan, the Mini Milo bag, the Max shirt, the Justine basket bag, and the Léontine jumper. LOL. Someone’s gotta do it right?
It’s a pre-weekend pick me up: just a little note with links to the latest blog posts, what I’m reading lately, and products I’m obsessed with. Think of it as a friend dropping off a surprise latte in the morning--you know?
