Today I’m sharing my OSEA Dream Bio-Retinol Body Serum review.
I am so excited for this post. Not only is it my first official review since coming back from my “maternity leave,” but I’m going to be covering a product that I have absolutely fallen in love with.
OSEA, one of my all-time favorite skincare brands, just launched their (very appropriately named) Dream Bio-Retinol Body Serum. This product is a bio-retinol overnight skin firming treatment and has become a staple in my evening routine.
In today’s OSEA Dream Bio-Retinol Body Serum review, I am going to cover the ingredient lineup, the benefits of using a bio-retinol, and the way I’ve incorporated this serum in my nighttime regimen.

As a freshly postpartum mom of three, my evening shower is TRULY the most luxurious and restorative part of my day. If that sounds dramatic, you’ve never been a freshly postpartum mom of three.
In a season of life where so much feels out of my control–sleep, my milk supply, my body in general, just to name a few–having a nightly moment to unwind by myself is ESSENTIAL.
OSEA’s Dream Bio-Retinol Body Serum is an overnight firming treatment that has leveled up my “everything shower” and the feel and look of my skin in just a couple of weeks of use. I look forward to using this body serum every single night because it really does provide a much-needed sensory reset as I wind down.

I’ll be the first to say it: OSEA is the best in the game at the Everything Shower. This dreamy calming body serum is just one of many products from this brand that can transform a shower into a full sensory experience.
Don’t be fooled, though: this product’s formula is jam-packed with skin-smoothing active ingredients too.
Since I started using the Dream Bio-Retinol Body Serum two weeks ago, I have noticed my skin is smoother and more hydrated when I wake up each morning. I have also noticed–and I swear this is not placebo–that my skin appears firmer in areas that have otherwise been..lacking firmness.
One other exceedingly relevant anecdote is that my sister commented on how soft my hands were yesterday!
OSEA specially formulated this body serum to boost elasticity and glow but also provide a holistic sense of serenity with calming lavender and magnesium.
The bio-retinol in this formula is derived from green algae. This is a great alternative to a traditional retinol derived from vitamin A which can be harsh on skin (and isn’t considered pregnancy and breastfeeding friendly). Bio-retinols are known to provide similar benefits (firm and smooth lines and wrinkles) without the redness and irritation associated with traditional retinols.
One of my favorite skincare ingredients, hyaluronic acid helps your skin lock in hydration. This molecule keeps skin looking plump and youthful.
This vitamin helps visibly boost skin’s radiance.
Come for the skin benefits, stay for the calming sensory experience. The lavender and magnesium in the Dream Bio-Retinol Body Serum soothe and promote a full-body sense of serenity.
The consistency of this serum is amazing. It reminds me of a really thin moisturizer as opposed to a translucent gel, if that makes sense. The product spreads and absorbs really well, and you only need a few pumps.

Sigh. This serum has the most incredible lavender scent, but it’s important to note that the scent is subtle and calming. Think: luxury spa, not health food store.
The OSEA Dream Bio-Retinol Body Serum comes in OSEA’s signature glass bottle and aplastic pump. I love the packaging, but one thing to note here is that it took a minute or so of pumping to get the product out when I first opened it…so if you’re having issues, just keep going, lol!
The OSEA Dream Bio-Retinol Body Serum costs $52 for a 4 oz bottle. I’ve noticed a little does go a long way. I can cover my whole body with *exactly* eight pumps. For what it’s worth, I have been using mine every evening for two weeks and have barely made a dent in the bottle.
Incorporating the OSEA Dream Body into my evening shower and skincare routine has been nothing short of seamless.
I usually shower right after dinner and before we put the kids to bed. Once everyone’s fed, I’ll RUN back to my bedroom and slam the door shut. If I happen to be ahead of schedule, I’ll sneak into the sauna first which always elevates the entire experience.
(How Tyler manages the three kids while I do this is simply none of my business).
Once the shower is nice and steamy, I’ll fling around a few drops of this oil blend from FridaBaby which makes my bathroom smell like a spa.
A couple of my current in-shower favorites: Tatcha’s Rice Polish for my face and OSEA’s Body Polish for everything else.
Then, it’s time for the grand finale. Once I turn the water off, I’ll quickly pat dry and then apply the OSEA Dream Bio-Retinol Body Serum while my skin is still slightly damp and ready to soak everything up. I apply this basically everywhere from the neck down–including my hands!!
While the serum is actually quite emollient and moisturizing on its own, I do love to follow it up with a nice thick body lotion or, better yet, OSEA’s body oil.
Then, I’ll do my face skincare (I’m still loving the face version of this serum too!) and get ready to nurse the baby and put him down for the night.
And while I certainly can’t guarantee a full night’s sleep these days, I can take the time to relax and rejuvenate in the evenings. I certainly deserve it!
OSEA’s Dream Bio-Retinol Body Serum has become such a crucial part of my night time routine, and I can’t recommend this product enough.
