Today I’m sharing a little roundup of my Cabo outfits.
I get a huge kick out of putting together my outfits for trips–probably because my “everyday” uniform is almost always the same Align leggings/crop top/baggy sweatshirt combo. So I spend way too much energy scheming about my vacation wardrobe, just ask Tyler or my sisters.
I didn’t go crazy with shopping for the Cabo trip, but I did grab a couple of pieces that I knew I’d get a ton of use out of this year here in San Diego too (it’s February, so summer is right around the corner, after all).
If you’re looking for details about the trip itself and want to know where we stayed and what we did–check out this post.
I splurged on this gorgeous light blue L*Space suit (top and bottoms) last year for our Hawaii trip. I love the fit and material of L*Space, and this cut in particular is so flattering.
BUT, as I went to put this post together, I was very excited to see this dupe from Aerie (top and bottoms). I love Aerie suits so much–they are affordable and always come in so many fun prints and colors.
Speaking of Aerie suits, I cannot say enough about these ribbed crossover bottoms. I’ve linked them before, but I still wear mine very regularly so I think they’re worth mentioning again. They have a leg-lengthening high cut, and that crossover detail on the waistline is my favorite. I feel like every mom needs these, honestly. I find most of their stuff runs pretty true to size.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: don’t sleep on Abercrombie. Yes, the sizing is all over the place, and the fit *can* be bizarre, but I have found some absolutely adorable things there over the past couple of years. My latest treasure is this short/crop top set (top and shorts). It’s a linen blend, so you get that breezy beachy look, but it doesn’t wrinkle like crazy. The shorts in particular are the star here: super high waisted with a roomy leg opening. You can’t wear a bra with the top, but I just tied it super tight and didn’t have any issues. I got a medium in the shorts and an XS in the top (story of my life, I guess).
This sweater was, admittedly, a splurge, but I wore it every single day of our trip. I love this “fishnet” sweater coverup over any suit OR bralette with jean shorts. The fabric is really lightweight but high quality, the perfect thing to throw on for a morning beach walk or when the temperature drops in the evening. Choosing a color was tortuous–I went with the tan but could see myself getting a ton of use out of the white and black, too. I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this all spring/summer long. I got this in a medium, and it’s just the right amount of baggy?
I got this button down last year and have worn it SO much. It’s probably the most versatile item of clothing in my closet. I’ve worn it half-tucked into jeans with booties, over jean shorts and sandals, and open as a cover-up with swimsuits a million times. The white is classic, but I also love the “cashmere” color. Runs huge!!
It’s a pre-weekend pick me up: just a little note with links to the latest blog posts, what I’m reading lately, and products I’m obsessed with. Think of it as a friend dropping off a surprise latte in the morning--you know?
