In this post, I’m sharing a little brown suede bag roundup.
I blame Reformation for this. I have been drooling over their Vittoria tote all year. I LOVE the bow detail on the strap, and the Boss Suede color has been haunting me. However, the $498 price tag feels tough to swallow. Even the smaller size at $398 feels steep.
So, I did what any reasonable woman would do and scoured the internet for a more affordable alternative. I love the idea of a brown suede bag for this fall and winter, and I thought I’d share my findings today.

I’m starting things off with what is probably my favorite of the bunch: Madewell’s Essential Bucket Tote in Dark Carob. I love the strap and gold buckle detail of this tote. It’s backordered on Madewell’s website, but it looks like Nordstrom has it in stock currently.
J.Crew’s Large Berkeley Tote is the definition of a statement bag. I love the unique shape, and it looks like it holds more or less the same amount as the trunk of a car?
I really like Banana Republic’s take on the brown suede bag because it also has a crossbody strap, making this a more versatile and portable option for travel or days out and about.
I like the shape of J.Crew’s smaller Berkeley bag too, and the rich chestnut color is so, so pretty.
Madewell’s new Shopper Tote is stunning in every way. Love the leather straps.
I really like Mango’s version of the look. The only thing I’d change is the the buckles?
